Job Title: Technical Writer
Job Summary:
As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise,
and accurate documentation for our robotic products and technologies. Your primary
responsibility will be to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly
documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and
technical specifications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including
engineers, designers, and product managers, to ensure that our documentation meets the
needs of our customers and enhances their experience with our products.
Responsibilities:

1. Documentation Creation:

• Create and maintain user manuals, installation guides, technical
  specifications, API documentation, and other technical documents for our
  robotic products and technologies.
• Gather information from subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and
  product managers to understand product features, functionalities, and usage
  scenarios.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation
  suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory
  requirements, and company guidelines.

1. Collaboration and Coordination:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and
  product managers, to gather information and clarify technical details.
• Participate in product meetings, design reviews, and engineering discussions
  to gain a deep understanding of our products and technologies.
• Work closely with software developers to document APIs, SDKs, and
  integration guidelines.

1. Document Organization and Management:

• Organize and structure documentation in a logical and user-friendly manner.
• Develop and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and document
  management systems.
• Version control and track document changes to ensure accuracy and
  consistency.

1. User Experience Enhancement:

• Analyze user feedback and usability testing results to identify areas for
  documentation improvement.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure consistent user experience
  across product interfaces and documentation.
• Incorporate user-friendly illustrations, diagrams, and screenshots to enhance
  the clarity of the documentation.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
  in technical writing.
• Continuously improve documentation processes, standards, and tools to
  enhance efficiency and quality.
• Solicit feedback from internal stakeholders and end-users to refine and
  improve documentation content.

Requirements:

1. Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a
  related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a technical writer, preferably in the robotics
  or software industry.

1. Technical Skills:

• Proficient in creating technical documentation, such as user manuals,
  installation guides, API documentation, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with software development concepts, robotics, and related
  technologies.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into
  easily understandable documentation.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word,
  Markdown, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, or Document
  Management systems, for managing document revisions.

1. Communication and Language Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation,
  and style.
