Mode of Work: 5 days WFO
The Senior Test Engineer will evaluate and test different solutions that utilize various platforms, container orchestration system. You will work with engineering and product management teams closely to develop new testing methodology, perform testing, and collaborate with the development team to ensure quality of the products.
Responsibilities:
- Define high and lower-level requirements for embedded software products.
- Structure them in a requirements management tool and link them to existing tests.
- Test and measure application, network, and storage performance for potential bottlenecks and identify possible resolution.
- Implement tests for embedded software products.
- Create and document detailed test plans, methodologies, performance briefs, Implementation Guides and other technical documents that detail the configurations, test methodology results and Best Practices.
- Assist cross functional teams in troubleshooting and problem identification.
- Develop automated test scripts.
- Able to perform the Product Owner role to ensure the test quality of the product.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with software testing for embedded platforms
- Experience with a scripting language (ideally Python or Go)
- Experience with software test frameworks such as Google Test/Robot frameworks
- Experience with UART/Ethernet communications for embedded platforms
- Experience with requirements management for embedded systems
- Desirable to have experience in embedded C on microcontrollers (e.g. on Arm or RISC-V platforms)
- Experience with software tools for requirements management
- Excellent documentation skills in creating test procedures, workflows, diagrams, and customer facing white papers.
- Excellent internal and external customer skills.
- Possess the ability to work and communicate with the senior leadership team.
- A team player and fast technology adoption is a must The ability to keep abreast with the latest advancements in technology and techniques.
