ROLE SUMMARY
The Centre Manager is responsible for the end-to-end performance of a Career Launcher centre, owning both the sales function (enrolment generation, revenue targets, lead conversion) and the service function (student experience, batch delivery support, retention, and grievance resolution). The role requires a hands-on operator who can drive walk-ins and admissions while ensuring the centre runs smoothly for enrolled students and their parents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES — SALES
- Own the centre’s monthly and quarterly enrolment and revenue targets across all programs offered.
- Convert walk-ins, phone enquiries, and digital leads into admissions through effective counselling and follow-up.
- Counsel prospective students and parents on course offerings, fee structures, and outcomes, tailoring the pitch to each family’s needs.
- Drive local outreach — school/college tie-ups, seminars, referrals, and community engagement — to build the enquiry pipeline.
- Track and report daily/weekly sales funnel metrics (enquiries, walk-ins, conversions, drop-offs) and course-correct proactively.
- Coordinate with the marketing team on local promotions, offers, and campaign execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES — SERVICE & OPERATIONS
- Ensure smooth day-to-day centre operations, including batch scheduling, faculty coordination, and classroom readiness.
- Act as the first point of contact for student and parent queries, complaints, and escalations, resolving them promptly and professionally.
- Monitor student attendance, engagement, and satisfaction; drive retention and address early warning signs of attrition.
- Maintain accurate records of enrolments, fee collections, and student data in line with company systems.
- Liaise with faculty and academic teams to ensure timely delivery of the academic calendar and quality of instruction.
- Ensure the centre maintains high standards of housekeeping, safety, and presentation at all times.
- Manage front-office staff and support team performance at the centre.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Multilingual communication skills — able to counsel students and parents in English, Kannada, and Hindi (additional languages a plus).
- Strong attention to detail in handling student records, fee reconciliation, and daily reporting.
- Confidence and persuasion — comfortable driving sales conversations and closing admissions.
- Customer-first orientation with the patience to handle service issues and parent concerns calmly.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to manage competing sales and operational priorities.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office/Excel for tracking targets and maintaining records.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (mandatory).
- Prior experience in education sales, centre operations, retail sales, or front-line customer service is preferred.
- Prior team-handling or supervisory experience is an advantage.
