Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our college’s counseling center. The Clinical Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, including individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach programming. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to promote student well-being and support a positive campus environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial intake assessments to evaluate students’ psychological concerns and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy to students dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
- Offer crisis intervention services for students experiencing acute psychological distress or suicidal ideation.
- Collaborate with campus staff, faculty, and external resources to coordinate care and support services for students with complex needs.
- Develop and facilitate psychoeducational workshops, support groups, and outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and resilience among students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, including intake notes, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and contribute to a supportive work environment.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and trends in the field of college mental health and integrate this knowledge into clinical practice.
- Adhere to professional ethics and standards of conduct established by relevant licensing boards and professional organizations.
- Contribute to the overall mission of the counseling center by actively participating in departmental initiatives, committees, and special projects as assigned.
