Cluster Manager – EV 3-Wheeler Financing (Sales and Collection)

A fast growing NBFC in retail electric vehicle finance is looking for a Cluster Manager for
Delhi, Bangalore.
We are a finance company focused on offering specialized debt
products for Energy and Resource Sustainability initiatives, including rooftop solar and electric
vehicles (EVs). Our mission is to drive innovation in debt financing related to energy and resource
sustainability.
We are an early mover in financing electric mobility having funded over 5000 electric vehicles in
India. In retail EV finance, we aim to finance more than 5000 electric three-wheeler L5 loaders alone
over the next 12 months for select OEMs in India.
Role Overview:
The Cluster Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales and operations of electric 3-wheeler
financing across multiple locations within the assigned cluster. This includes managing a team,
building relationships with channel partners, ensuring compliance, and achieving financial and
operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development and Sales:
● Drive sales and achieve disbursement targets for EV 3-wheeler loans (both loaders and
passenger vehicles).
● Explore and develop new geographies and markets to expand the financing network.
● Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned targets for EV 3-wheeler
financing in the cluster.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and channel partners to
drive business growth.
● Identify, onboard, and nurture relationships with dealers, distributors, manufacturers, and
channel partners and business opportunities in the region.
● Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and
emerging trends in EV financing.
● Ensure smooth execution of marketing campaigns and promotions at the cluster level. - Team Management:
● Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Managers, Field Executives, and Sales
Officers.
● Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with organizational
goals.
● Conduct regular team meetings to discuss targets, challenges, and strategies.
● Lead, train, and mentor a team of sales executives and collection agents to achieve
cluster targets.
● Set individual and team performance goals, monitor progress, and provide constructive
feedback.
● Drive a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer focus within the team.
- Customer Relationship Management:
● Ensure a customer-centric approach by addressing grievances and building trust among
borrowers and stakeholders.
● Enhance the customer journey by simplifying loan processes and minimizing turnaround
time. - Credit and Risk Management:
● Collaborate with the credit team to assess and approve loan applications as per company
policies.
● Ensure minimal delinquencies by implementing robust risk management practices.
● Oversee collection processes and maintain portfolio health within acceptable parameters. - Compliance and Reporting:
● Ensure seamless execution of all financing operations, including documentation, loan
disbursements, and collections.
● Adhere to regulatory guidelines, company policies, and local laws related to financing.
● Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including sales, credit quality, and
collections.
● Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and compliance standards
in all operations.
● Maintain accurate records of sales, collections, and customer interactions, and provide
regular updates to senior management.
● Prepare and present periodic reports on sales performance, collection status, and market
trends - Market Insights and Strategy:
● Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the
EV financing sector.
● Provide actionable insights to senior management to refine products and strategies.
● Collaborate with marketing teams for lead generation and promotional activities. - Portfolio Management and Collections:
● Monitor and manage the loan portfolio, ensuring a healthy balance of new business and
recoveries.
● Oversee collections and recovery processes, maintaining low delinquencies and
improving overall portfolio health.
● Implement effective strategies to manage Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and ensure
timely follow-ups on overdue accounts.
● Coordinate with teams to resolve payment delays and disputes with customers.
Preferred candidate profile :
Key Skills and Competencies:
● Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Finance, or a related
field.
● Experience: 7+ years of experience in retail lending and CV financing, with a focus on
sales and collections, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
● Proven experience in the vehicle financing domain, preferably in the CV/EV sector.
● Strong understanding of the 3-wheeler market (both loaders and passenger vehicles) and
associated financing needs.
● Experience in the CV sector is highly desirable.
● Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach and a go-getter attitude.
● Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
● Knowledge of credit appraisal, risk assessment, and loan disbursement processes.
● Ability to work in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
● Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
● Tech Savvy: Ability to effectively convert sales data using computers and mobile apps.
● Proficient in MS Office and familiar with CRM tools.
● Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively to engage with the market and stakeholders.
