Role purpose

Own the end-to-end academic strategy and delivery for TECHLEAP labs. Translate current industry demand into high-impact curricula; run academic operations at scale; ensure ToT quality, learner outcomes, and credit alignment (AICTE + skill ecosystem). Partner closely with colleges and employers to drive placements and apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industry–Academia Translation

  • Maintain advisory loops with OEMs, integrators, and plant heads to capture sector skill needs (Automation, Robotics, IIoT, EV, Renewable, Semiconductor, etc.).
  • Convert demand signals into course blueprints, competency maps, and assessment rubrics.

2. Curriculum Leadership & Crediting

  • Lead design and curation of programs (micro-credentials to PG diplomas).
  • Align courses with AICTE, NSQF, and SSC frameworks; approve syllabi, labsheets, and OEM kit plans.

3. Academic Operations (Multi-Site)

  • Oversee the full academic cycle—admissions to placement, scheduling, and instructor deployment.
  • Ensure assessment integrity and manage LMS content and repositories.

4. ToT & Faculty Excellence

  • Design and run ToT ladders (L1–L2–Master), certify trainers on OEM stacks, and coach on pedagogy.
  • Conduct demo checks, micro-teaching, and maintain trainer performance scorecards.

5. Outcomes & Employability

  • Collaborate with placement teams for projects, internships, and hiring drives.
  • Track and achieve KPIs—placement %, certification pass %, NPS, and delivery timelines.

6. Quality & Compliance

  • Implement QA processes, audits, lab safety, and maintain accreditation records.
  • Drive continuous improvement through quarterly updates and tech refresh integration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years’ Experience in higher education or skill training with strong industry exposure; experience in Automation, Robotics, IIoT, EV, or Precision Engineering preferred.
  • Proven curriculum design and content curation; hands-on with PLC/SCADA, robotics/vision, IIoT/analytics a plus.
  • Experience in ToT programs and faculty development.
  • Familiarity with AICTE credits, OBE, NSQF/SSC frameworks, and assessment design.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong stakeholder management, industry networking, and collaboration with colleges.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multi-site operations; travel 25–40%.
  • Data-driven decision-making with experience in dashboards, KPIs, and outcomes tracking.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; experience mentoring faculty and trainers.
  • Curriculum and pedagogy expertise; ability to translate industry needs into learning programs.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • On-time syllabus coverage ≥80% and certification pass rate ≥85%.
  • Placement/OJT outcomes ≥70% for long-term programs; Learner NPS ≥+60 and Employer NPS ≥+50.
  • Trainer readiness: ≥90% ToT-certified instructors per lab with strong audit compliance.
  • Lab utilization: ≥80% across weekday student batches and weekend corporate sessions.
