General Overview

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Training of all contracted in the region perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks a high standard, including:

✔ Maintaining accurate and timely financial records, including sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, daily journal / financial entries and bank reconciliations employing software provided (see criteria).

✔ Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

✔ Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

✔ Supervise, monitor and ensure the accurate, timely and efficient completion of client work while fostering a productive and collaborative team environment.

✔ Assist Australian tax agents with tax preparation and lodgement, ensuring compliance with the Australian tax office where necessary.

✔ Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed.

✔ Take a lead role in the improvement of the design maintenance and review of internal business processes for a given client. Suggest new software that may help them grow their business.

✔ Instruct contacted staff on how to respond to to inquiries from management regarding financial data.

✔ Teach staff strong interpersonal skills to connect with clients and team members.

✔ Educate and train staff, clients and manage relationships effectively.

✔ Construct relevant checklists and training materials, ensuring an expert level of Australian bookkeeping is attained by all staff.

Experience, Skills Required and Other Requirements:

✔ Ability to work variable hours from home and our office (if necessary)

✔ Proven managerial experience in resolving technical accounting and bookkeeping issues.

✔ A quiet home environment with ability to connect hi speed internet (minimum 30Mbps – which may be provided by us)

✔ Strong technical and teaching knowledge in accounting disciplines, including bookkeeping, and financial reporting.

✔ Self-discipline to stay updated and communicate on company and industry developments and address training needs promptly.

Preferred Criteria

● Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

● Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax.

● Expert in English language cloud-based accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, others)

● Exposure to Practice Management software or similar.

● Expert in Microsoft Excel and other financial software

● Experience with Google Workspace (Google Sheets etc)

● Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and able to manage and teach multiple tasks. Strong communication mentorship and interpersonal skills.

● Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role.

● CA / CPA preferred

● Strong drive to exceed expectations and progress career.

● Able to write and converse in English essential

● Experience with remote workplace and or BPO environments with Australian client focus preferred.
