Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance & Accounts Manager with strong exposure to the manufacturing sector to lead and manage the organization’s finance and accounting operations. The role requires hands-on expertise in financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, costing, and team management while ensuring statutory compliance and strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and finalization of accounts
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures
- Prepare and review MIS reports, management dashboards, and variance analysis
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections
- Analyze budget vs actuals and provide actionable insights to management
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and cost analysis
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Handle product costing, process costing, and variance analysis
- Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuation
- Work closely with production and procurement teams to control costs and improve margins
Cash Flow, Follow-ups & Payments
- Manage cash flow planning, fund utilization, and working capital
- Oversee payment cycles, vendor follow-ups, and receivables management
- Ensure timely collections and vendor payments as per agreed terms
Statutory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, statutory audits, internal audits, and other regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and banks
- Maintain strong internal controls and SOPs
Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants
- Allocate work, review outputs, and ensure adherence to timelines
- Drive process improvements and automation in finance operations
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting and costing
- Expertise in MIS, budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems / Tally / SAP / Oracle (as applicable)
- Excellent understanding of statutory compliance and audits
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work closely with plant, procurement, and operations teams
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in finance and accounts within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing finance teams
- Exposure to multi-location plants or factories is an advantage
- Strong process-oriented mindset with attention to detail
