East Medical Division


Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the operations of the Medical Central Gas Systems division,
focusing heavily on sales and commercial activities. This role requires a strategic leader with
extensive experience in sales, business development, and commercial management within the
medical gas systems industry.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. P&L Responsibility:
    o Oversee the profit and loss (P&L) for the Medical Central Gas Systems division,
    currently valued at $25M.
    o Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
    o Implement strategies to drive growth and profit expansion.
    o Aim to grow the P&L organically and inorganically to $100M by 2029.
  2. Global Center of Excellence:
    o Establish and lead a global center of excellence for Medical Central Gas
    Systems.
    o Focus on key areas such as sales, commercial excellence, quote management,
    manufacturing, R&D, product management, and regulatory needs.
    o Develop best practices and standardize processes across regions.
    o Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among global teams.
    o Ensure compliance with international regulations and standards.
  3. Sales Leadership:
    o Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    o Lead the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support.
    o Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
    o Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  4. Commercial Management:
    o Oversee commercial activities, including contract negotiations and pricing
    strategies.
    o Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business decisions.
    o Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    o Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability.
  5. Operational Oversight:
    o Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations.
    o Implement and optimize processes for efficiency and quality.
    o Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  6. Strategic Planning:
    o Develop and execute business plans aligned with company goals.
    o Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
    o Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  7. Integration of Acquisitions:
    o Lead the integration of acquired companies into the existing platform.
    o Align strategies, processes, and cultures to maximize synergies.
    o Ensure smooth transition and operational continuity.
    o Drive growth in key regions including India, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
    Team Size: Manage a team of approximately 15 members, including 10 direct reports and 5
    matrix reports.
    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Sales, EBITA, Working Capital, Funnel, New customer,
    New product sales, operational parameters, OPEX, On time delivery, industry recognitions
    Qualifications:
     Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA
    preferred).
     Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and commercial management, preferably in
    the medical gas systems industry.
     Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
     Strong leadership and team management skills.
     Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
     In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
     Proven experience in managing P&L and driving profit expansion.

     Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
     Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
