Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for engineering the product from the concept stage to design for production.
- Candidate will have to communicate with the customer directly and have the decisions recorded.
- Responsible for creating 3D and 2D model using PTC Creo software.
- Carry out necessary design calculations and simulations based on the product being worked on.
- Responsible for quality checks before the parts are released for manufacturing
- Responsible for creating manufacturing documents during every release
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams & coordinate with vendors.
Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3+ years’ experience in the domain of consumer electronics / home appliances / medical devices design (Consultancy or Industry).
- Good understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software. Creo parametric preferred.
- Working knowledge of design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA) methodologies, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Problem solver with the ability to design mechanisms.
- Proficiency in plastic part, sheet metal and machined part design.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Self-starter and confident communicator with the ability to communicate through verbal and written means.
