Education Requirements
•Ph.D./ME/M. Tech – Mechanical or Electromechanical or Thermal system with plasma physics as major area/course work
•Design and development of plasma cutting torches, components and consumables for the new generation plasma cutting systems/business.
•Strong understanding of plasma cutting process with multi-physics such as electro magnetics, plasma generation, plasma surface interactions, phase change processes, interfacial phenomena, material removal and mass transports.
•Numerical verification and validation of the plasma system with multi physics competency
•Developing and simulating coupled physics models, solving electromechanical, electro thermal, fluid structure interaction models for wide range of structural and fluid property variation model, solving and experimental validation
•Improving existing plasma system and sub system for the plasma cutting machines, process.
•Develop and implement design solutions using CAD and simulation software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS Multiphysics
•Develop coding for variation fluid properties and integrate with computational models for solving different range of plasma systems
•Develop and implement design solutions using AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling, drawings for plasma/oxy fuel cutting machines parts/sub modules/system and products
•Provide engineering solution to product care issues and release the documents in CAD/PDM/PLM
•Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, electrical engineering, system and software team) to ensure seamless integration of cutting systems.
•Stay current with the latest advancements in plasma cutting technology and industry trends.
•Take responsibility for the plasma consumable life test lab.
