Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Analyzing
● Understand requirements from the Project Manager via the Project Management tool.
● Analyze tasks/modules and collaborate with the team to ensure clarity.
● Review design files to identify any gaps or potential implementation challenges.
2. Planning
● Define the theme structure (pages, posts, custom post types, etc.).
● Evaluate and finalize plugins to be used; plan for any required customizations.
● Conduct team discussions and finalize the development approach.
3. Core Development (Theme & Plugins)
● Set up the WordPress backend using the ACF plugin; ensure complete theme dynamism.
● Develop themes adhering to WordPress coding standards — no hardcoding.
● Write clean, well-commented, and reusable code.
● Develop or customize plugins based on project requirements.
4. Unit Testing
● Conduct unit and black-box testing before handing over to the QA team.
5. Deployment
● Handle deployment on development/staging servers.
● Support and assist in production deployments.
Key Requirements:
● Experience:
○ 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in WordPress and PHP development.
● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency in PHP, WordPress, MySQL.
○ Basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
○ Experience with jQuery and GIT.
○ Familiarity with Apache setup and web hosting environments.
● Soft Skills:
○ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective
collaboration with stakeholders.
○ Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex requirements and design efficient
solutions.
○ Creative Thinking: Capacity to develop innovative solutions and optimize development
