Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DTR (Distribution Transformer) Meter Installation Planning Manager to oversee the coordination, planning, and execution of DTR meter installations within the AMISP (Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing installation rates through close collaboration with DISCOMs (Distribution Companies), contractors, and the internal project team to ensure timely and efficient installations, meeting all project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning of DTR meter installations, ensuring efficient coordination between the DISCOM, contractors, and internal teams to maximize installation rates.
  • Develop detailed installation plans and schedules, optimizing resource allocation and timelines to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between DISCOM representatives, contractors, and internal teams to address any issues or challenges related to DTR meter installations.
  • Coordinate with DISCOM to determine installation priorities and identify potential areas for improvement in the installation process.
  • Work closely with the contractor team to ensure that they have the necessary materials, tools, and resources to carry out installations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and track the progress of DTR meter installations, ensuring the timely completion of installations in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Identify potential roadblocks or delays in the installation process and work with all stakeholders to develop corrective actions to overcome these challenges.
  • Coordinate logistics for the timely delivery of materials and equipment necessary for DTR meter installation, ensuring that all required items are available when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of the installation process, including progress reports, installation rates, and any issues encountered.
  • Collaborate with the internal project team to ensure alignment of installation schedules with other project milestones, ensuring the overall project timeline is met.
  • Track installation performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize installation rates while maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and field visits to monitor installation progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of DTR meter installations, including key performance metrics and any corrective actions being taken.
  • Facilitate meetings with DISCOM, contractors, and internal teams to discuss installation progress, share updates, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure continuous communication with all stakeholders, keeping them informed of any changes, delays, or updates related to the installation schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in project planning and management, preferably in DTR meter installations or related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of AMISP projects, distribution systems, and meter installation processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including DISCOM, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to develop and manage installation schedules and resources.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and track installation performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize installation rates.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards related to meter installations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve challenges and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, ensuring efficient execution of installation activities.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with DTR (Distribution Transformer) metering systems or other related AMISP technologies.
  • Familiarity with the processes, challenges, and coordination required in large-scale meter installation projects.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams, ensuring efficient and smooth project execution.
